Welcome to Brian Williams Blog | Work From Home Internet Marketing

by admin on May 16, 2009

brian_williamsOk, so I admit it, after more than 15 years as a full time professional Internet marketer, I have missed one incredibly important aspect in my career-I DON’T have a blog. I mean seriously, “How can I call myself an Internet marketer without having a frickin’ blog?”

It’s not as if I don’t know how to write. I’ve written hundreds of proposals, training documents, letters and such on the topic of Internet marketing. I’ve been “on stage” at industry events. I’ve succeeded (and failed) at every aspect of Internet marketing during my 20 year career. What the hell am I waiting for?

Well, obviously, the wait is over because with this post also comes my blogging debut.

For those that don’t know me, which is most of you, I am Brian Williams … not “that” Brian Williams …”the” as I like to say, Brian Williams. Seriously, as my profile states, I’m JUST LIKE YOU! A human being who’s had the great privilege to love to be loved, who is inspired and has inspired others, and who has fears (in business and in life) just like you.  I am only truly special to a few, some family members and close friends–all of whom I’d lay my life down for.

Why Read My Blog?

So why should YOU read my blog? First, I will share with you THE real, genuine, “work from home” dad’s life of an Internet marketer. My passion quite simply, is to inspire YOU to make a positive difference in our world. That passion, honestly, if fueled by my devotion to inspiring my own children (first and foremost) to make a HUGE positive difference in our world. So, I suppose, secondarily, my passion is to inspire YOU. Did I just say that? Did I just put you “second” in my life? Yep, I did, AND I mean it. You, as important as you are to me, will never be as important as my children in my life–like it or not.

In fact, ahead of you in importance in my life are my children, my wife (Rachel) and my close friends, and surrounding all of them is G_D. As a Jew, we don’t fully spell out GOD, oops, I just did it–sorry. I’m not sure why we should not spell out “his” name. It would appear to me that it would be a respectful action to take. Whatever! Anyway, my first loyalty is to G_D, which, puts you 4th or 5th in line in terms of “who” is important in my life–God (oops, I did it again), Rachel, my children, my closest friends and then YOU. Now look, I did say that I was a “real, genuine, work from home dad.” If you want genuine, well, you’ve got it.

So, with all that, I’ve joined YOU. I’ve become a “blogger.”

How can I help you?

Hey Brian,

I just finished watching your interview with Maria Andros. Nice job. Congrats on your business doing so well. I follow Maria myself a little but I’d like to get more involved with her because I’d like to do more video. I’ve only made a few videos, one of which I put on Youtube but the rest have been sent to my list.

Brian, I know this was your first post so maybe you didn’t know how to stop spammers. It’s very obvious that all the comments on this post are all spam. I hate spammers. I make sure I moderate everything that goes on my blog. If someone’s comment isn’t relevant to the post and doesn’t add value to my blog I am very quick to that Delete button.

Anyways, I like your header especially of you holding the Tweety Bird. lol!

I’m going to check out the rest of your blog to see what you have to say.

Later,
Jeff Sargent

Hi Jeff–
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I get a ton of blog spam. Is there a service to help block those? I do highly recommend Maria’s program. She has a great handle on how to use video effectively and gets into both the mindset/psychology behind effective video and the mechanics on how to create them. I am using her blueprint in numerous ways throughout all aspects of my business.

Take care and thank you again for your comment…

Hi Brian,

I just watched your interview with Maria Andros and I was wondering what your product base was and has become. Has your personal concept for a business model evolved as you’ve become successful or do you believe it will be wiser to stick with what’s been successful so far?

And do you have any advice for someone attempting to create a marketable brand around skills and services?

As a webdesigner myself , I’m truely glad to find that someone brought up this topic.

All too many people out there just don’t understand what all is required in this field, and I think also we’re many times underrated
or taken for granted. Never the less I’m glad to see that you feel the same way I do , thanks so much for this post!
